Last January, Antonella Gramigna, a journalist and expert in Made in Italy, visited the United States. She is the Editor-in-Chief of W&S Mag and Sales Director of Italian companies. An expert in communications, marketing, and social media, and a long-standing advocate for this topic, she works with the Ministry of Made in Italy and several Italian companies and organizations to promote excellence in various sectors, including food and wine, where she holds a position within Aset Toscana (Tuscan Food and Wine Journalists' Association), recognized by the Association of Journalists, and the world of Italian craftsmanship, a true flagship. Let's say it's very important to promote exports, which are currently declining somewhat due to pandemics and their consequences. The idea is to create ongoing connections to raise awareness of the various opportunities among companies, including those already present in the United States. Scheduling at least two weeks of trade fairs throughout the year dedicated to the many key Made in Italy sectors for less prominent companies, perhaps smaller but still excellent, would be fantastic and important for companies. Furthermore, promoting the possibility of timely marketing through American media (print and TV), which is the most important and widespread form of advertising, would be a fantastic opportunity. The Made in Italy Ministry has already initiated agreements and support for those who want to outsource while remaining Italian companies. It also intends to provide incentives for those returning to our country. These are opportunities; in a truly liberal country, everyone should feel free to decide where and for what to invest. Initiatives could be useful for highlighting these excellences, both in Italy and abroad: weekends dedicated to excellence, workshops, Made in Italy trade fairs, all opportunities to raise awareness and appreciate our qualities. This already happens in Italy, especially in Tuscany, a jewel in the crown of food and wine. We need to export this model everywhere.“

“I'm starting from here, from New York, because I already have important contacts, like Dr. Alberto Milani President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, who recently created a wonderful project: “Piazza Italia”, Also presented to Deputy Minister Valentini, it concerns an export and Italian showcase project in a space in the heart of Manhattan. A building that offers companies the concrete opportunity to exhibit, even temporarily or permanently, and is extremely useful as a showcase. Furthermore, an important partnership will soon be announced in Rome, providing companies wishing to approach the States with significant support and assistance with the services necessary for this purpose. New York remains the center of the world. That place where Italy has often found a "home," and where many of us have found fulfillment. The American dream is a concept that reflects the idea that in the United States, every individual, regardless of their origin, has the opportunity to achieve success through hard work and determination. I would like it to transform into the "Italian dream," and I believe that America, as a system, represents a perfect path to follow. From taxation to opportunity and meritocracy. This is my vision: to provide opportunities, support, and space to those who deserve it. Gaining recognition and being able to export through e-commerce platforms, in this case "Made in Italy for me," which I represent, or through regular informational meetings and tastings for food and wine, could be a huge help. The idea of opening connections between Italy and America has been around for a long time. I work with Made in Italy at various levels, and by now I understand its wonderful nuances. The desires, the ambitions, but also the numerous challenges faced by many entrepreneurs. It's right to give them the space they seek. "If not the US, where?" With her commitment and tireless passion, Antonella resolutely continues her journey to promote Italian excellence worldwide. Her work brings a sense of national pride abroad, and her story is a vivid example of how talent and dedication can transform an idea into a successful reality.
