However, fate had another test in store for him. A few years later, new ailments led him to discover a congenital heart defect, requiring an open-heart surgery that lasted more than four hours. Once again, Salvatore fought tenaciously, overcoming even this difficult operation, testifying to an inner strength that knows no limits.
Salvatore, in a certain sense, he was reborn twice. These extreme experiences, where he touched the threshold between life and death, transformed him profoundly. The harsh struggles not only hardened him physically, but left him with an indelible lesson: the importance of focus on the really essential things. Today, Salvatore lives with a new perspective, taking life more lightly, without letting himself be dragged down by futile worries. He learned to give the right value to everything, distinguishing what really matters and facing each day with gratitude and serenity..
