Who hasn't noticed the joyful interplay of numeric and alphanumeric sentences or sequences read from right to left, even with a strange intellectual pleasure in visual discovery? Literature, theater, and cinema are full of misunderstandings and stories of misinterpretations, with role-playing doubles, clones, and twins.

Since 2020, an event has emerged that features couples, triplets, and multiple births: the national twins' gathering "I go to you." The palindrome phrase, whose form and meaning define the event, explains the gathering's philosophy: the unity of creation, which multiplies in diverse forms, and the reversibility of reading, which, rather than moving in two directions—to the right and left—creates a circle, like two mirrors facing each other and reflecting the same image endlessly. The gathering, conceived and organized by photographer Antonia Di Nardo, who has been photographing twins since 2000, is a pretext for reflection on the rules of creation, which always appear the same even when translated into various disciplines and sciences. We are the ones who put barriers and divisions between things, which, instead, are all connected in a unity of creation. The defining characteristic of this gathering, which immediately piqued the interest of the press throughout Italy, is its connection to linguistics and numerology. The first and second meetings were held on February 2, 2020, and February 22, 2022, both in Altavilla Irpina (AV). Identical twins are compared to palindromes (e.g., radar), words in the lexicon that can be read from right to left and vice versa without altering their meaning.,

Fraternal twins with non-homographs, such as vénti (number 20) and vènti (plural of vento), and so on with other linguistic figures. The third meeting took place at the Cine Teatro Eliseo in Avellino on August 23, 2023. This sequence, when raised to a power, became the numerical sequence 23.23.23, a nice trio of prime numbers (a whole number greater than 1 that can be divided by 1 or itself). The theme of the conference held at the Provincial Library of Avellino was the linguistics of one. The editorial staff explored various topics, connected by the twinning of molecules and more complex forms. When we talk about twins, we are primarily talking about large families with all the problems and opportunities associated with this primary nuclear structure. The first social relationships formed within a family will be those that will later be repeated or that will form the basis for creating lasting and concrete relationships as adults. The exclusionary linguistic relationship with one's twin or the struggle to include a third, non-twin sibling in a twin relationship are well-known themes. This gathering stems from a visual intuition, but is deeply rooted in the area. It arose from a study of twin births in Altavilla Irpina by historian Giancarlo Mauro, a native of the Irpinia town but resident in Rome. He consulted the civil records of Altavilla Irpina up to 1700, noting the extremely high concentration of multiple births, reaching 1.21 TP3T above the national average. Added to this is the presence of tuff mines in the area, and the legends of the miners of the "pani gemelli," compacted forms of the mineral that were always found nearby in stories.

Greco di Tufo itself, a plant that has its own DOCG in this area, presents itself as a fruit composed of two identical parts, so much so that it has the Latin technical name Aminea Gemina. Not far from Altavilla, there is a charming village, Terranova, a hamlet of Arpaise (BN), where there is a sanctuary dedicated to the twin brothers Cosma and Damiano, who are celebrated on September 26th and are highly revered by the people of Altavilla Irpina. And for 2024? The designated date will be September 6th...6.9, with many new features. This year the event will be held at the Bourbon Prison in Avellino and will be a journey back to 1969 with music, clothing, cars...and a touch of history. The theme of the event: the eternal return...the morning conference will discuss the DNA molecule, psychology, philosophy, and neurolinguistic programming.
