The foreign press at the White House now has a clear and structured point of reference, thanks to the initiative of the Piedmontese journalist Daniele Compatangelo<\/strong>, president of the association White House Foreign Correspondents Association (WHFCA)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Founded in May 2025 together with international colleagues, the association WHFCA<\/strong>\u00a0It is a new, democratic and transparent body, created with the aim of giving maximum participation for all foreign journalists<\/strong> accredited at the White House<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Over fifty newspapers from all over the world are now part of the group, including Evening Courier<\/strong>, LA7<\/strong>, Sky Tg24<\/strong>, Sky News Arabia and Australia<\/strong>, Al Jazeera Online<\/strong>, CBC Canada<\/strong>, Channel 14<\/strong> e i24 News<\/strong> in Israel, and numerous European, Asian, African and South American media.<\/p>\n

\u201c"When we began planning the group," Daniele explains, "the goal was simple: to create an organization that would allow every foreign journalist to have a voice, participate, and access information in a clear and shared way. We wanted a space where professionalism and rigor were at the heart of daily work."\u201d<\/p>\n

Transparency and participation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

La WHFCA<\/strong><\/a> it was born as an organ democratic and representative<\/strong>Every decision is voted on by members, procedures are transparent, and interaction with the Presidential Press Office is structured and direct. This allows journalists to work in a coordinated manner, sharing essential information and updates, and ensuring the public receives complete and accurate information.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea is simple but powerful<\/strong> \u2013 explains Daniele \u2013 l<\/em>a Briefing Room<\/em> It shouldn't just be a place for live broadcasts or quick articles: it should become a space for discussion, collaboration, and international dialogue. Through chat and mailing lists, we can exchange advice, news, and updates, improving our work and that of our colleagues every day.<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The journalist's experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Daniele brings with him over fifteen years of experience in the United States, first in Los Angeles with Mediaset<\/strong><\/a>, then in Washington with Half an Hour More<\/strong> e LA7<\/strong>. His knowledge of American politics and international journalistic dynamics has allowed him to build a bridge between the foreign press and the administration, facilitating more efficient, professional, and coordinated work.<\/p>\n

La WHFCA<\/strong>\u00a0is today a model of professionalism and pluralism<\/strong>, a united group that represents foreign journalists and facilitates their daily work. Thanks to this initiative, the international press has a common, democratic, and recognized voice, capable of coordinating its presence at the White House<\/em><\/strong>,<\/em> share strategic information and ensure the public has complete and structured information.<\/p>\n
