Washington, DC \u2013<\/strong> A day of sport, friendship and Italian spirit enlivened the fields of the Bretton Woods Recreation Center<\/strong>, headquarters of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. The new edition of the Italian football tournament in Washington DC<\/a><\/strong>, organized by Italians in DC<\/strong>, from the Com.It.Es of Washington DC<\/strong> and from the\u2019National Association of Carabinieri<\/a> \u2013 Washington DC Section<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event, which is repeated with great success every six months \u2013 in June<\/strong> e November<\/strong> \u2013 has become a regular event for the Italian community in the American capital. Five teams competed with passion and sportsmanship: among them, the Roma Club<\/strong>, the Fiorentina Club<\/strong>, and the nice team \u201cNever a Joy<\/strong>\u201d, who achieved the final victory in this November edition. In the June competition, however, the winner was\u2019International<\/strong>, the training directed by the National Carabinieri Association.<\/p>\n

To share the organization of the event also Roderico De Nitti<\/strong>, president of the\u2019National Association of Carabinieri \u2013 Washington DC Section<\/strong>, who stressed:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe're happy to promote moments of healthy social interaction, where sport and community values meet in a climate of friendship and mutual respect.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The day, which started at 10:00 in the morning, ended at 14:00 with the award ceremony for the winning team<\/strong>, the delivery of the medals<\/strong> and of the Cup<\/strong>, the recognition to top scorer<\/strong> of the tournament and, of course, a toast with Italian prosecco<\/strong>.
\nFamilies, children, men and women shared moments of joy and team spirit, confirming once again how \u201cSport unites and strengthens the Italian community abroad<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n
