Born in Naples but raised in Paola, Calabria, Ornella began her journey into the world of entertainment at a very young age. At just 17, she moved to Rome to join the famous opera star Diana Ferrara. Her career took off quickly, leading her to perform and work as a host, showgirl, and actress on numerous Rai programs, including "Fantastico 6," "Un Altro Varietà," "Cinema che Follia," and "Sentimental." The theater also welcomed her with open arms, and Ornella participated in successful productions such as "Rinaldo in Campo" and "Aggiungi un Posto a Tavola," alongside artists of the caliber of Massimo Ranieri and Johnny Dorelli. Ornella has always been curious to explore all aspects of the artistic profession, and this versatility makes her unique. Her face became synonymous with GBR, the first private broadcaster in Lazio, where she served as Brand Ambassador, hosting numerous television programs. Her career in Italy, though brief, was full of successes and satisfactions, but her life took an unexpected turn when she took part in the theatrical production "A Chorus Line," which represented a defining moment in Ornella's life, not only as an artist, but also as a woman. Thanks to this onstage experience, she found love: the musical's American-born Music Director became her husband and the father of Carolina. It was precisely to follow that love that Ornella left Italy for New York, where she has now lived for over thirty years.

The first years proved to be crucial and challenging, but he immediately immersed himself in the frenzy of the Big Apple. His artistic career continued on the stage of New Jersey City Ballet, in theater productions, but her passion for teaching leads her to share her experience and talent with younger audiences as well. In 1999, she created “Danza and Musica,” a program that aims to teach dance and the Italian language to young people through a fun and engaging approach. Thus was born “Kids on Broadway,” a program designed to teach musical theater to professional children. It was a way for her to give back to the community and inspire future generations to pursue their dreams in the entertainment world. A few years had passed since Ornella arrived in New York, and she immediately realized the lack of a television program that featured Italians in the US, so in 2005 she launched Let's toast!, the only television show focused on Made in Italy restaurants and lifestyle in the USA. As creator, producer and host, Ornella ensures that Let's toast! celebrates authentic Italian culture, which she considers essential given the large Italian presence in the United States. The artist is thus a pioneer in the field of television production, also taking on the role of host of her own show. With her distinctive Italian accent, of which she is proud, Ornella discusses and discusses Italian cuisine, fashion, culture, and lifestyle, sharing her passion and knowledge with viewers. Let's toast! It has not only revolutionized the way Italian cuisine is presented and appreciated, but has also opened up new opportunities for Italian entrepreneurs overseas.

Photo credit: Inna Race for Bermuda

Let's toast! airs on NYC-TV (Channel 25) since 2005, but thanks to the platforms VoD and Streaming Ornella launches her TV series on Amazon Prime, Tubes, Xumo TV e Food TV, covering topics such as high fashion, history, tourism and offering exclusive interviews with prominent Italian personalities, such as actors, musicians and politicians.
