THE'’Carini Cultural Association IOD North America represents a solid bridge between the Italian-American community and its Sicilian roots.

Born from the will of Vito Badalamenti – author of several books dedicated to the history of Laura Lanza, Baroness of Carini, researcher and recent recipient of an important recognition – the association has transformed this passion into a resource for her community and her hometown.

Characterized by a strong sense of identity and belonging, the Carini IOD Association stands out for its commitment to promoting Sicilian culture and concrete solidarity. Among its most significant initiatives is the recent donation of ten computed tomography (CT) scans to the Cinisi Medical Center. This gesture of extraordinary importance testifies to the deep connection between the Carini community in the United States and their homeland.

This project has been curated with dedication by Gianfranco Lo Piccolo, the association's representative for Italy, and is the result of a joint effort to provide support to those most in need. The donation of the CT scans represents not only material aid, but also a symbol of the Italian-American community's sense of responsibility toward their cultural heritage.

The Cultural Association Carini IOD North America, with its ongoing work, continues to strengthen the bond between past and present, between tradition and innovation, between Sicily and the United States. This commitment transcends geographical boundaries, demonstrating how culture, solidarity, and identity can unite communities, creating a tangible and lasting impact.

Recently, the leadership of the association has passed into the hands of Federico Davì, successor of Beloved Christmas, and supported by the vision and legacy of Vito Badalamenti.

The new vice president is Piero Carcioppolo, Antonio Sparacio is the new secretary, taking over from Francesco Failla, While Maurizio Randazzo He was confirmed as treasurer. Vito Badalamenti (spokesperson) and Gianfranco Lo Piccolo (responsible for Sicily) were also confirmed in their positions. Salvatore Marsala is the new person responsible for relations with the Consulate. Among the new members of the board are: Vito Bua e Tonio Amato.

2024 ended with a splendid gala attended by the Consul General of Philadelphia, Christian Mele, and other illustrious figures, arriving at this 2025 with new chapters and new initiatives of the association, which continues to grow and carry forward its mission with the same enthusiasm and great dedication.
